pnuw was my first unix login, as in pnuw@uhura.cc.rochester.edu. though I tend to pronounce it as pee en you dubya, an old friend of mine used to say, "p'noo" and it kind-of stuck.

Laurel Bowman
My old bandmate and friend Laurel Bowman died on Monday. She was 44. The obit is here. I found out last night and am very scattered today. I hate that grief is so non-linear.
Father, Husband, Drummer, Consultant. Big, loud, warm and fuzzy. Strong like bull. Marshmallow. Democrat. Massachusetts native, Virginia resident. Prius driver. Potential RV'er. Fan of Oakley eyewear, DW drums, the Red Sox, the Celtics, the Potomac Nationals, and many, many bands and musical artists. I always have a song in my head.
